Hello: My name is Gloria and this is my very first blog posting. I really didn’t know how to begin this posting so I decided to give you a little information about me. If you view my website, you’ll see that I posted a little about me but this posting will give you a little more information about who I am. This information will not be on that webpage. As I continue to publish to my blog, I will provide more and more information about me and pretty soon, you will know as much about me as I know about me. I have two children, age 32 and 27 and five (5) grandchildren, 4 are 9 years old and one (1) 11. I adore my family which is the main reason that I decided to really get serious about my business so I can eventually quit my full-time job (5 years) so I can spend more time with my family and grandchildren, set my own schedule, and only answer to me.
As I stated on my website, I began embroidering in 2009. I received my MPH in February 2009 and decided to purchase an embroidery machine as a gift to me. You know, when you’re in school, you’re constantly busy. When you finish, there is absolutely nothing to do so I said, I’ll embroider Christmas gifts for my family instead of purchasing the gifts. This open up a brand new world. I became fascinated with embroidering. I love watching the machine stitch out the designs, the letters, etc., it’s absolutely amazing to me. So my mind began running…a creative side came out of me that I didn’t even know that I had. I became thirsty for knowledge about embroidering. I searched for classes, but there were none available, so I searched the websites, found many articles, joined yahoo groups, stitched out designs and messed them up, research the reasons why the designs didn’t look right and kept going. Now, I feel really good about my embroidering, I feel proud of the progress I’ve made with my business and I’m excited about my future.
My goal is to post something weekly. It may be long, it may be short, it may be an interesting story that I read, it may be a “did you know” page, me expressing my views, or whatever. I’m leaving my blog open for comments so please, let me know who you are, what’s bothering you, what made you happy, or just comment on what I post. Let’s have fun.
Talk to you later.
